Terms and Conditions
- Booking an Adventure:
- All Adventure Tours require to be paid in full a minimum of 30 days prior to the start date. You can book online here, or you can call us and make arrangements. Each participant will be required to sign the release waiver prior to departure.
- Cancellations:
- We understand that plans - and life - can change fast.
With that in mind, cancellations made at least 30 days prior to the Adventure Tour date will receive a full refund. Those less than 30 days prior to the Adventure Tour date are not eligible for a refund.
Any monies not refunded due to the above policy can be credited towards a future Adventure Tour within a 12 month period.
If for any reason, Twin Wheel Adventures must cancel, you will receive a full refund.
- Safety Safety Saftey:
- While your Adventure is meant to be, well, an adventure, we definitely want everyone to complete the trip safely.
Required
- All riders and passengers must read, agree to and sign a waiver form.
- All riders and passengers must wear a DOT approved helmet in jurisdictions where it is legally required to do so. You can reference state laws here.
- Obey all vehicle laws. Note that any traffic citations you may receive are your responsibility.
- Ride within your limits.
- Absolutely NO alcohol or illegal drug use allowed while riding.
- You must possess a valid motorcycle endorsement on your license, as well as current insurance.
Recommended
- We strongly suggest you wear appropriate riding gear. At the very least, long pants, over the ankle boots, long sleeves and gloves.
- We'd prefer you to have at least 1,000 miles saddle time, preferably recent. You need to be able to handle riding 100 mile legs, and 300 mile days. If you're not accustomed to it you can very easily get fatigued, which can make for an unpleasant - and potentially unsafe - adventure.
If, at any time during the Adventure, one of your guides feels that you're riding unsafely - whether it be from lack of experience, fatigue, legal or illegal substances, etc - we will stop the group and ask you to cease riding. This is for the safety of yourself and everyone else on the road. When possible, and if need be, we will assist you in obtaining alternative transportation for you and your bike. To date, we have never had to enforce this policy, and we hope we never will.
- Incidentals:
- Unless otherwise noted, the cost of your Adventure Tour includes your guides, travel maps, and a DVD containing still photos and video taken of you and your group. We will make all necessary arrangements/reservations, however lodging, gasoline, meals, and taxes are not included (unless specifically mentioned in the Adventure itinerary).
- Motorcycles:
- Got your own bike? You're all set - Twin Wheel Adventures welcomes all makes and models, from sportbikes to metric cruisers, harleys, goldwings and everything in between. Again, for the safety of you and the group, we ask thay you make sure your bike is in top condition. Check your tires, brakes, fluids, etc. Perform your inspection at least a few days prior to departure, to ensure time to remedy anything.
We recommend you obtain some type of road side assistance (ie, AAA) for your Adventure.
If you're coming from any distance, and need to trailer or ship your motorcycle here, Twin Wheel Adventures will do what we can to assist you.
Twin Wheel Adventures does not rent motorcycles, but can refer you to local rental facilities in the Orange County/Los Angeles area. One of the best agencies we deal with will delivery and pick up your rental - how's that for convenient? Twin Wheel Adventures does not receive any compensation for these referrals.
- Weather:
- While the weather in Southern California is pretty consistent - namely, sunny and warm - Twin Wheel Adventures cannot control the occasional odd weather pattern. As such, be prepared for possible light rain in the Summer months, cold temperatures in the Spring and high heat in the Winter. Our Adventure Tours typically see a fairly wide range of temperatures as we move through elevation levels. If we feel a certain Adventure may pose undue risk for the group, we reserve the right to modify the itinerary as we see fit.
